Films aren't just entertainment, they're an experience. For a moment, we're transported into another world filled with great characters and great stories. As a result, iconic film franchises have given rise to some amazing film statues! And what better way to celebrate such amazing statues than with an event in Hollywood, or specifically Planet Hollywood? In collaboration with the Malta branch of the global restaurant chain, the Malta Statue Collectors have created a weekend long movie-themed statue exhibition (MSC goes to Hollywood) …and what an exhibition it was! 

With hourly giveaways of merchandise and collectibles, as well as a diverse list of films playing, is it any wonder that the event attracted such a large audience? Of course, we can’t exclude the centerpieces of the event: the statues, busts and props on display. Highly detailed props inspired by the blockbuster Lord of the Rings film franchise, stunning busts from top tier brands like Elite Creature Collectibles and Queen Studios that focused on iconic characters, like Predator, Pennywise the Clown, Henry Cavill's Superman, and Ron Perlman's Hellboy, and incredible statues from brands like Sideshow Collectibles & Cinemaquette of characters like Indiana Jones, and the terrifying Xenomorph! All in all, an amazing (and dare I say, STAR STUDDED) lineup of characters. Not to mention the cosplayers flexing their creative muscles by bringing these characters to life (quite well, might I add). Truly, such an event is Oscar worthy in my eyes!
