Prime 1 - Godzilla vs Kong Diorama

If there was ever a tier list for statue brands, Prime 1 Studio would be up there with Queen Studios with how phenomenal their statues are! Despite being the most expensive, its justifiable the immense level of quality associated with it. As a result, almost every statue from that brand is a work of art, and the “Godzilla vs Kong final battle” diorama based on the titular film is no exception!

This colossal (pun intended) diorama captures the showdown between the two titans with phenomenal detail! Prime 1 spared no expense when it came to the details, as seen throughout the entire statue, from the scars around Kong’s body, to the cracked & scaly skin of Godzilla to even the surrounding buildings and vehicles surrounding these titans (kudos to Prime 1 for their clever logo positioning, by the way). Given the insane amount of detail put into this diorama, and how massive it is in terms of size, you’d think the astronomical retail price would be justified.

Unfortunately, and it pains me to say this, it is not. The pictures and videos that the studio was releasing for this diorama showed that immense detail coupled with a bright colour palette that made it pop. Upon further inspection, you realise that the “bright colour palette” which was present in the marketing material was simply the LEDs within the diorama being turned on. Without them, what you have is a massively detailed diorama with no bright colours whatsoever. Had the painters managed to make the LEDs optional rather than crucial in this case, this would be a perfect 10! Unfortunately, taking the almost non-existent palette into consideration and coupling it with the astronomical retail price, I’d have to give this a 7.5/10!
